Colombia. A total of 483 producers and filmmakers received, for three weeks, technical assistance and simultaneous training in content production and Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT), as part of the Agreement signed between the European Union and Colombia for support in the migration of analog television to DTT.
In Bogotá, Medellín and Barranquilla, seminars were held that addressed three main thematic axes: related to planning and technical management of TV content production, Operation of solutions for the management of digital content by multiple platforms and Hybrid television and interactivity through the Internet.
"The transfer of knowledge made by the European Union to Colombian filmmakers and producers not only strengthens the human talent that makes up the national audiovisual industry, but the quality of our television to be in tune with the new trends and good practices that digitalization demands from people and content producing companies," said Ángela María Mora Soto, Director of the National Television Authority.
The training cycle fulfilled the objective of providing new knowledge to the attendees, and sensitizing producers, filmmakers and viewers about the importance of understanding the transformations of television at the production level, content marketing in the digital age, and the way in which the user behaves when consuming different content. In this regard, Ferran Clavell, consultant of the European Union indicates "television networks must adapt to the new environment before the arrival of the Internet and understand the changes in the way of producing content to conquer the user".
The contents addressed during the three weeks of simultaneous work were the following:
Module 1 Planning and technical management of TV content production: Technical Assistance for the definition of protocols and plans for the planning, management and supervision of technical quality in the production of TV content, taking into account the new recording and production formats (HD, 4K, etc.).
Module 2 Operation of solutions for the management of digital content by multiple platforms: Technical assistance and training to structure, implement and operate digital content management across multiple platforms.
