Peru. The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) of Peru and the Ministry of Public Works, Services and Housing of Bolivia signed an agreement for the assignment of radio frequencies for the operation of radio and television stations (VHF and UHF) in the border area.
The aforementioned agreement, signed by the head of the MTC, Bruno Giuffra, and his Bolivian counterpart, Milton Claros, establishes the radio frequency distribution plan as well as cooperation procedures necessary for the allocation of frequencies in border areas.
Both Andean ministers committed to develop a protocol for measuring the technical parameters of operation of sound and television broadcasting stations no later than the third quarter of 2018. This will ensure the proper functioning, within the authorized technical parameters, of radio emissions in the border area.
