New products for IBC Show 2017
PAM
VSN's new advanced Production Asset Management (PAM) software provides greater visibility into projects, while modernizing and streamlining the management of media companies' workflows and material. Integrated into VSNExplorer, VSN's flagship platform for media and business process management, this latest version of VSNExplorer PAM software offers production teams continuous control of ongoing projects from a single screen, enabling production departments to become more efficient and collaborative with each other.
This intuitive and easy-to-use tool offers a wide range of possibilities specially designed taking into account the current time constraints of production equipment. Therefore, the new advanced version of the software includes the possibility of searching metadata and assets through a hierarchical tree view; personalized and at-a-glance management of all tasks, regardless of whether they are completed or still in progress; managing user permissions for more effective visibility, control, and collaboration; creation of assets from the interface itself, among others.
Developed 100% in HTML5, this advanced PAM system interrelates not only with VSN's internal modules, but also with external NLEs, social networks, archiving services, programming partners, quality check systems and much more.
VSN WEDIT
The new WEDIT was launched last April at NAB 2017. It is a 100% web-based and highly functional video editing tool, integrated within the VSNExplorer media and business process management platform. Developed in HTML5, this easy and fast tool allows editors and journalists to edit videos and leave them ready for broadcast from a single interface and without switching between systems.
As far as its editing functionalities are concerned, Wedit users can quickly edit sequences by cut; generate cut-off lists; mark-in and mark-out segments with frame accuracy; associate metadata with cuts; edit quickly from the interface timeline itself; and consolidate and publish sequences. In addition, users can export a project in an EDL file at any time to finish its editing on a third-party NLE system if necessary, such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or Avid Media Composer.
VSNEXPLORER BI
The enhanced VSNExplorer BI software is capable of transforming media and metadata into powerful business intelligence information. This VSNExplorer module, a BI tool specific to broadcast environments, can extract information about assets, content quality, traffic, transcoding and many other parameters directly from VSN's own systems or even from other third-party tools, to later present the data that has been selected in simple graphs and reports that help analyze the performance of a business.
VSNExplorer BI can generate reports based on the status of workflows, the pending tasks of users or based on any other criteria that have been previously defined and customized based on the metadata of the MAM system, thus eliminating the need to create reports manually or rely on other third-party solutions for it. Users thus have access to analytical documents and reports automatically generated by default, as well as another series of custom information panels that combine different information and layouts (bar, cake, column, graph, enumeration, speedometer, etc.).
