Colombia. After a selection process carried out by the Universidad del Valle that lasted about three months, the electronic engineer Gabriel Jaime Vieira Posada, was elected as a new member of the National Television Board, representing the country's universities.
Vieira graduated from the Pontifical Bolivarian University of Medellin. He holds a Master's Degree in Cinematography from the Universite de Paris and a Master's Degree in New Technologies Applied to Education from the University of Barcelona. In addition, he holds a PhD in Arts from the University of Antioquia and has additional studies in quality children's audiovisual production, narrative structures in poetry, literature, among others.

The new Board member, who will replace Olga Castaño Martínez in the position, worked for more than 13 years as a filmmaker, teacher and audiovisual researcher at the University of Antioquia. He also worked as an advisor to the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga, founded Cinemática Producciones and was co-researcher of the Cantoalegre Corporation.
His interests are directed in children's television, audiovisual narratives, fiction, documentaries and transmedia. Gabriel Vieira Posada will take office in the coming days before the National Television Board.
