Mexico. Faced with the growth of HD and 4K resolutions -and even 6K and 8K-, QNAP Systems offers the Latin American market efficient and massive content storage solutions, with great speed and efficiency, said David Lira, Business Development Manager of the company.
"We are launching solutions in Thunderbolt 3.0, which have connections of up to 40 Gb, delivering storage solutions in traffic ports at higher speeds. In the case of cinema we have incorporated this port so that engineers can make their network directly in QNAP -incorporating Seagate hard drives in solid state-cache- and in disks in mechanical state, "he said during Expo Cine, Video and Television 2017.
In the exhibition held at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, he said: "Since 2015 we have delivered equipment that supports 4K, and we are ahead of thunderbolt 3.0, since most of them handle Thunderbolt 2.0, but these equipment we make compatible and scalable, but we can migrate to fiber or copper connections. The advantage is that they can render and save information directly to the QNAP, so they can do other activities simultaneously and connect other devices."
Lira acknowledges other solutions developed by other companies, although it states that its company's developments have substantial advantages. "Our differential is that our core business is totally to generate storage. We have massive storage, we are manufacturers of chassis, motherboard and a base in Linux -which is very strong against cyber attacks-. They are very marked differentiators and that is our differential. Another is that we can hold up to 1Pb or 2Pb of storage without problems."
