NAB. One of the main objectives of TRedess is to insert itself as a pioneer in the transmission of DTT with the ATSC 3.0 standard, javier Martínez, sales director for Spain and Latin America of TRedess, a subsidiary of the Iberian Televes, said during NAB Show 2017.
"We are presenting at Nab 2017 our range of transmitters covering the power range of up to 2.4 kW. Equipment prepared to operate in ATSC 3.0 and our goal at this fair is to identify that market and attack the U.S. market," he said.
Martinez mentioned that the time to implement this new standard is now. "ATSC 3.0 is not a future, it is a reality. There are projects and customer demands in this market. For now, we would have to wait to implement this standard. Now we are with ISDB-T – which we have already implemented for a long time."
And he added that this segment is highly competitive, mainly in Latin America: "All our competition is in this market. The Latin American market is demanding and imminent a few years away. We offer the advantage of belonging to a group -Televes, which has been in the market for 60 years, dedicated to the world of TV- and we offer the guarantee of the permanence of the company in the market and above all the power to give through an interlocutor, a monitoring solution and transmitter equipment.
