NAB. AudioVideo BrandBuilder Corp., official representative and principal distributor in the Americas of Wowow products, will officially present the new color management tools, the IS-mini X and the companion WonderLook Pro color management software at NAB 2017.
Based on Fujifilm technology, the IS-miniX is an enhanced digital LUT device that allows DITs and colorists to foresee color management in a scene. "The IS-miniX offers the best image processing available on the market and the lowest output signal delay, making this component ideal for live production and broadcasting," confirmed Mitsuhiro Uchida, Product Engineer at Wowow.
The IS-miniX has added frame capture capability and up to four different sets of markers, including center crossover markers. The IS-mini LUT box enables Color Grading and On-Site Preview thanks to its fast processing speed and high-quality images. In addition, by feeding LUT-specific information to an IS-miniX, this box can eliminate color and tone differences in one camera so that multiple cameras can have the same color and tone information that the DIT represents.
In addition to the IS-miniX, AVBB is also introducing the new WonderLook Pro (WLP) color management software, which allows you to control different types of LUT boxes, such as IS-mini, IS-miniX, Teradek's COLR and FSI's BoxI/O.
The operator can control multiple LUT boxes with the same or different camera settings, as needed, or by grouping four LUT devices together to control a 4K camera. The different software licenses allow you to control the number of LUT boxes, as well as other parameters.
WonderLook Pro software was designed based on the ACES concept and can therefore be configured as an ACES-compliant workflow component. It includes LUTs for more than 60 types of camera profiles called Input Device Transforms (IDT). All of these transformations are done by measuring real camera units with Wowow's proprietary equipment and software.
"We are very excited to present these products at this NAB Show. We know that they respond to the colorful requirements and DITs need to reflect the mood or tone of a scene such as the image of film directors," said Christian Young, Chief Marketing Officer of AVBB.
These two products will be displayed at Osee Americas Ltd.'s booth, Central Hall #C11546.
