Argentina. Within the framework of the technological changes that have been generated in the sector, from the adoption of new formats and standards, De Nucci states that "The industry is moving towards cloud solutions and issues such as IP infrastructure and HDR, which are the three main focuses of innovation: one from the way of working, another from the infrastructure, and the last from the content.
Although, it may seem distant for our market, for those who generate signals internationally they are already doing work in HDR and advancing faster than one imagines. On all these topics there were projects this year, such as HBO, which is producing here in HDR."
Sony's goal regarding HDR technology is to achieve the availability in the market of both HDR in 4k and HD, since although 4K is a reality, it is impressive when it is seen in large displays; which contrasts with a situation where "content is increasingly produced for cell phones or tablets, so the need to complement both formats arises". Another challenge Sony is facing is producing live HDR.
In relation to the medium and low level "there are more and more products with lower price and better quality, whose advantage allows a signal to be put on the air with levels of investment that were previously unthinkable. For example, a university institute or a municipality, can have their channel on the Internet, without the need to acquire an air or frequency license", which according to De Nucci gives the possibility that "people with ideas and initiatives can deploy a social role and have the technology offering through their own means, such as their channel, the desired content, thus getting it where they want."
Regarding the national situation, the Director of Sales and Marketing of Viditec, states that "we were at the end of a pendulum last year and now we go to the other extreme. Neither reality is where we should be."
Large international companies "continue to invest in Argentina, the risk that they will start leaving has stopped. The technical base is still valuable and there are good opportunities for them to invest, differently, but they are not going to leave."
One of the important events during the year for Viditec is CAPER SHOW, because the industry turns to this exhibition to see the news. "Our brands such as Sony, Vizrt, Elemental, Riedel, Tektronix, Axon, Onestastic, Pebble Beach, Quantum, Multidyne, TVU Networks, Atomos, Wellav, Blackmagic Design, Ooyala and Terrasat, have shown interest again in the exhibition, which allowed us to present innovative Technological Solutions and within reach of the different markets."
"For 2017, a growth in the demand for technology is expected on our industry, both from the State for its signals, and from the local and international private sector that have the need to generate content increasingly with new technological standards."
Finally, Eduardo De Nucci concludes that, in accordance with technological advances and updates, Viditec "is working to offer alternatives and solutions at all market levels, focused on the integration of technologies and, emphasizing the area of professional services that allows customers to bring solutions fully adapted to new challenges and environments, as happened this year with projects linked to workflow solutions."
