Mini HDMI to 3G-SDI converter

AJA debuts its new HA5-Fiber mini-converter for HDMI to 3G-SDI conversion. Its small dimensions allow this mini-converter to be incorporated on the back of a camera or behind any other equipment in the frame, transporting HDMI signals over distances of up to ten kilometers.

The mini converter is designed for any scenario where an HDMI signal has to be extended over long distances. Whether from a camera or from rack-based HDMI sources, this new mini-converter makes it very easy to integrate HDMI signals into fiber infrastructure.

HA5-Fiber enables HDMI to 3G-SDI conversion via single-mode fiber optics, with up to 8 channels of embedded audio supported in the HDMI input. The mini-converter has a 2-channel RCA audio input, an SDI embedded audio output and an optical output.
