International. 4K is the issue that channels will have to face in the coming years. Therefore, the company GatesAir presented its solutions that can support multichannel 4K transmission to multiple screens of more than DVB-T2.
The 4K solution integrates Hamornic's high-efficiency video compression (HEVC) technology with GatesAir's new Maxiva XTE inductor, to power three ultra-high definition (UHD) displays with TV content. The sample represents the first of its kind, demonstrating the power and efficiency of gatesAir's next-generation transmission systems.
"GatesAir continues to lead the industry by bringing advanced over-the-air streaming solutions to broadcasters," said Rich Redmond, chief product officer, GatesAir. "We are excited to demonstrate the advances to new and existing customers, building on the research and development efforts of GatesAir's engineers and scientists."
Another of the solutions presented by the company is LTE Mobile, which uses GatesAir Maxiva transmitters to download live television content under DVB-T2 from cellular networks with limited bandwidth, which reduces network load, energy consumption and network costs.
The architecture also uses tall towers with an LTE-enabled technology that opens up the ability to reach all devices without the need to add a specific broadcast receiver on those devices.
