Colombia. Javier Salom, who is part of the company Impaktu, gave details of how smartphones and tablets have generated a new way of consuming audiovisual products. He even talked about how there are some attempts to create content aimed exclusively at these devices.
Salom emphasizes that video consumption is done especially through WiFi connection. In the same way that consumers of this material through mobile devices do so in 98% through this medium. This is because most plans in the region have restrictions on navigation.
Similarly, the representative of Impaktu explains that the future of this segment is in unlimited broadband, since the demand for video will tend to the consumption of non-linear content. He also explains that live events will be the only linear content in the future.
The rest will have to be accommodated to the content and the time when the consumer is willing to consume it.
