International. This month marks the first anniversary of Imagine Communications and GatesAir (formerly Harris Broadcast). The CEO of the company, Charlie Vogt, took stock of the achievements of this period.
To achieve the goal of reshaping the company, starting from the inside out, it was adopted from a culture in the customer first. From an industry perspective, they have been especially focused on innovation and targeted investment in new business models and network architectures, aligned with mobility solutions and virtualized cloud.
"At our inaugural Media Day event at New York's Madison Square Garden, accompanied by IBM and Disney/ABC, we formally introduced Imagine Communications and GatesAir – two market-leading innovators focused on goals other than the technology spectrum. We share our vision of technology, product direction and go-to-market strategy to lead our broadcast customers, distributors of multichannel video programming, government and enterprise into an exciting new future defined by IP, software, the cloud and TV Everywhere.
Both companies now have more than three million products deployed in 185 countries, supporting more than half of the world's video channels, and managing more than $25 billion in annual ad revenue.
When asked what should you expect next year from Imagine Communications and GatesAir? Charlie Vogt said: "Further innovation through media, reproduction, networking and more solutions that align with our software-defined, cloud-virtualized, IP-enabled vision of mobile technology. And expect to see incremental innovation in content areas anywhere and with any device."
