Telestream announced the availability of Pipeline Quad, the newest member of the company's pipeline series of network encoders. Pipeline is a video capture system that works on networking and facilitates ingestion from tapes or live sources to file-based workflows. The encoder is aimed at broadcasters, the post-production area and others video professionals. Pipeline is installed on the network, where everyone can access it.
With a single box of Pipeline the user can choose the type of SDI encoding that you want depending on the type of platform you are working with. As it supports DV, IMX and MPEG-2 formats, Pipeline is ideal for broadcast, storage and server applications. The new one four-channel model, Pipeline Quad, presented in a box Compact single-rack unit, offers significant coding densities and significant cost savings per channel. Pipeline Quad also includes reliable monitoring that allows users to see what is being coded during the intake process. In addition, a redundant power source offers the user the assurance that they will always be in operation during critical workflows.
Pipeline ensures an intake reliable, real-time tape content for transcoding products such as FlipFactory and Episode, from Telestream, and Final Cut Pro, from Apple. Some other companies take advantage of Pipeline's free SDK toolkit to enable seamless integration with your work.
The Pipeline app includes ingesting packages from EDLs for both Windows users like Mac, allowing you to encode multiple clips from one same tape. For Final Cut users, Pipeline adds options drag and paste for file sharing Final Cut, allowing users to re-ingest or export clips offline and improve collaboration.
