Proximity's new Artbox system allows both artists and producers to manage all their work from one interface, which translates into more efficiency and reliability of workflow production and a better level of output quality from creative work.
Traditionally, the lifecycle of a production (requesting, creating, using, and removing creative effects) requires manual interventions with a variety of hardware and software platforms. Artbox integrates conversion, storage, workflow management, search and retrieval formats for artwork (video, graphic, script or audio) in a single device. Users can search, locate, transfer, encode, edit clips, generate EDLs, and handle multiple formats and platforms. Its workflow module introduces the concept of 'project', which provides the user with the ability to associate multiple effects, existing in various formats and on different devices, in a single story. It also allows artists more time to create and spend less time on administrative tasks.
Thanks to the fact that Artbox supports multiple devices and formats, users can choose the solution that best suits their needs. They can convert any video format with current equipment and software from Adobe, Avid, Chyron, Discreet, Grass Valley, Leitch, Omneon, Pinnacle, Quantel and Sundance. In addition, the artist no longer needs to worry about conversions from one format to another or where the creative work will be stored.
All workflow process information around an effect is automatically updated as the work progresses. A request tool within Artbox allows users to make requests, assign projects, and track progress. When the graphic, audio or video is complete, it is uploaded to the server and optionally to Artbox.
With this product, creative work can be shared through network operations, which saves resources and allows stations without a creative department to perform work of excellent quality and competitiveness.
