Pro-Bel, manufacturer of routing switchers , signal processors, master control, automation technologies, control and monitoring, announced that Channel 13 in Santiago de Chile has ordered a second purchase of its routing technology following a recent purchase and installation of its products. The order and installation were overseen by AVC Com, the Chilean representative of Pro-Bel.
Channel 13 produces and broadcasts three channels: its main general entertainment channel, broadcast both terrestrially and cablely; a cable channel that offers a range of its own Channel 13 productions, and the third is a sports channel that broadcasts high football content. The content is a mixture of Channel 13's own productions and other redistributions.
Canal 13 is migrating analog operations to a digital environment, replicating this broadcasting scheme throughout the country. To date, a third of his studies are digital.
The initial purchase was made with Sirius and Freeway routing switchers . The Sirius switcher is equipped with 128 x 128 SD analog video. Freeway is used for audio and is equipped with 128 x 128 analog stereo. Following the successful installation, the director of the engineering department, Marcelo Páez Gaete, has ordered two additional Sirius routing switchers , both 128 x 128 and an Aurora routing control system. Pro-Bel's Vistek signal processing and synchronism technology has also been installed.
