Omneon Video Networks has announced today the market launch of its new MigrateTool software for converting legacy video server formats to QuickTime open format used by Omneon systems.
MigrateTool simplifies Omneon Spectrum media server system integration with production and playback workflows, providing users with the tools to translate and work with previously ingested materials easily in virtually all broadcast applications.
Every time the software MigrateTool preserves metadata and interval data vertical stored in each individual clip, the broadcasters they can convert their media assets quickly and easily, without wasting time in treatment and administration of data.
File systems they simply restore and restore the clips stored inside of the appropriate folder, and migratetool will automatically translate the file and transfer them to the directory specified by the user.
This direct translation helps you to broadcasters with the transition to the flows of Advanced server-based Omneon work. The translation of media files typically occurs to the same speed than real time or faster, depending on the processor speed.
In cases in which the conversion of the formats required, the system ensures translation more practical and faster with a minimum of artifacts transcoding. MigrateTool operates under Windows 2000 environment, and XP.
