The AVR-5308CI is the new thing from Denon
The AVR-5308CI is a reference multichannel receiver, equipped with the latest in HD technology, to make the most of the material reproduced by today's digital sources. The AVR-5308CI features the latest in sound set-top boxes and processors, such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, Audissey MultEQ XT, and Audissey Dynamic EQ. Equipped with a high-specification toroidal transformer and a 150W by 7 channel amplification stage, the AVR-5308CI is THX Ultra2 certified, for sound performance just like in the cinema. The video performance of the AVR-5308CI includes a video circuit with 10-Bit processing, Realta sxT2 HQV processing for i/p and scaling, support for "Deep Color" (30/36 bits) and xvYCC color spectrum, and scaling from HDMI to HDMI up to 1080p, among other features. The AVR-5308CI is also a true hub with extensive connectivity to digital media and versatile multi-zone capability. It allows playback of files from a PC, support for AAC, WMA, MP3, FLAC, and WAV files, Internet radio connection, Ethernet or WiFi network connection, audio and video playback from an iPod, among other functions. Its multi-zone capabilities include a second zone equipped with digital-to-analog conversion, remote IR input/output ports, 4 +12V/250mA trigger outputs, and 2 RS-232C ports. All these features are also easily manageable, thanks to the new graphical user interface, which allows operation and navigation through the different functions in a fluid and friendly way.
