Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming various industries, and the broadcast sector is no exception. However, in Latin America, the adoption of this technology is in an exploratory phase, according to Diego Buenaño of [SNS.](https://www.studionetworksolutions.com/) "As in almost all areas, the advance of artificial intelligence has been important," said Diego Buenaño. "I think specifically in Broadcast, it's in a discovery and testing stage. While there are advances in areas such as audio-to-text transcription and image recognition, the industry is still understanding how to apply AI effectively." SNS is developing and integrating AI tools into its offering, seeking to understand the real needs of the market and offer solutions that bring the greatest benefit. "Today both audio-to-text transcription, or image recognition for metadata, is advanced. Surely there are more possible applications and that is what we are working on," he explains. SNS has already developed integrations for the automatic application of metadata using image recognition, and continues to work on the evolution of these solutions. "At this NAB we will be presenting that path," Bueño advances. - Publicidad - As for the interest of Latin American channels and production companies, Buenaño believes that they are in an exploratory stage. "We all know that AI will be an important part of flows and the way of working, but I think that the where and how is still being defined. But there is a lot of interest and there is almost an obligation to understand and explore the subject," he says. Despite the uncertainty about the full adoption of AI, Buenaño is optimistic about the future of the broadcast market in Latin America. "We are fortunate to have grown in Latin America in recent years, and 2025 will be no exception. We see many business possibilities in different verticals and we are focused on following this path in the region."
