IBCs. The Spanish company AEQ will once again attend the IBC to show its solutions: AoIP DANTE, Intercom, Multiconference, audio transport and reportage. The conference will feature:
Olympia 3 System, Commentator system for large events, which manages the resources of large deployments of Olympia 3 commentary positions, with or without audio matrix.
TP 9000, a new series of user panels for intercom system with 4-way toggle keys, expands the range with an expansion panel and a desktop terminal.
SOLARIS, an audio multicodec gateway, which incorporates between 8 and 64 stereo audiocodecs into a rack unit computer or a dedicated or shared server.
Commentary system for large events
AEQ's OLYMPIA 3 Commentary Unit (UC) is a piece of equipment specifically designed to incorporate audio commentary into broadcasts. It can operate independently or as part of a Dante/AES67 AoIP multi-channel network.
Now under the name of OLYMPIA3 SYSTEM, the software infrastructure has been created that allows connection to arrays of the AoIP commentator system for large, multi-venue and multi-sport events. The architecture can be distributed to improve flexibility and scalability, as one-sided services for larger sporting events are scheduled based on the contracting of circuits and equipment, which is done by the broadcasters who own the rights.
As a result of this design concept, a very flexible and scalable system has been created to cover the size and capacity of the AoIP Network - No specific or dedicated HW is required for the origin and destination of the audio signals: any AES67 or Dante compatible device can service the Olympia 3. Technical control and operations are achieved with the new software applications from OLYMPIA3 SYSTEM:
System Planner: SW application that allows the host broadcaster to plan the required AoIP network, auxiliary audio network devices or network nodes, and format converters. This planning is total, from the event venues or "Broadcast Venues", the contribution networks, the distribution of signals to the broadcasters and the related switching as necessary. It also powers the distributed database systems needed at the headquarters level to service commentary units with the correct configuration for audio I/O.
AEQ Olympia 3 CU Control / CU Setup: Application that manually or by means of a configuration "Wizard" determines, for example, which Inputs, Outputs, Sum Buses, Tie-lines and monitoring sources should be available to the commentator units at local and headquarters level. This also works in combination with the headquarters database, which is fed with the System Planner. This control software also provides all the necessary tracking, both visual and audio, as well as communication between the technical staff and the Talents or Commentators.
OLYMPIA3 SYSTEM has already been present at the most important global sporting events in the last two years, providing service to the radio and television stations there, so that all the audio quality of its commentators reaches its audience perfectly.
Intercom User Panels
For Crossnet intercom systems up to 190 ports and Conexia up to 1000 ports.
AEQ presents again at IBC the TP9116 rack format intercom user panels, now adding the rest of the elements of the family, the TP9416 for desktop and the EP9116 expansion panel. With 16 4-way lever keys, with two functions per lever, plus individual level regulation on the button itself.
"Talk" and "Listen" functions and individual volume control for each communication point, via a 4-way lever key. 16 cross-stitch keys, four pages, manages up to 64 destinations or groups. The information is presented on four RGB graphic displays. With audio quality for Broadcast. Format of a rack unit.
Designed for the high level of broadcast audio quality of the Conexia and CrossNET matrices. IP connectivity that handles audio in DANTE™ or AES67 format and low bit rate voice. Acoustic echo cancellation, automatic leveling of voice power or tonality and voice-over habits of each operator. Acoustics carefully studied to achieve the best intelligibility and sound naturalness.
DSP functions for perfect communication:
The integrated processor features:
• Acoustic echo canceller to prevent local feedback and possible return.
• 3-band parametric EQ and high-pass and low-pass filters, to adjust brightness and choose the best compromise between voice naturalness and intelligibility.
• Dynamic Adjustment:
- Compression, limitation, and expansion, to allow a wide range of distances and angles to the microphone.
- Noise door, to eliminate or minimize ambient room noise, soundproofing the user panel and creating the best listening environment for communication.
• Incorporates internal TEST audio signal generators (1Khz tone @ -20dBFs, pink noise @ -20dBFs).
• It has a replay function that allows you to play the last 16 seconds of audio emitted by the speaker/headset.
Solaris, audio multicodec gateway
Incorporate between 8 and 64 stereo audiocodecs into a rack unit or a dedicated or shared server.
SOLARIS can be implemented on a dedicated server provided by AEQ, with only one rack unit and 45 cm deep, incorporates a dual power supply, and five network mouths to flexibly and redundantly separate control, local and remote audio traffic.
The SOLARIS dedicated server does not have local audio inputs and outputs, the audio is delivered to a redundant IP network in AES67 or Dante formats, to connect to any compatible equipment such as matrixes, consoles, or simple audio over IP interfaces such as the AEQ Netbox 32.
SOLARIS is also provided as a Linux application to be deployed on a compatible, dedicated, or shared server, chosen according to each customer's corporate criteria.
SOLARIS is supplied with a minimum of 8 stereo audiocodecs, accompanied by the number of licenses for 8 additional audiocodecs that are required for a total of 64 audiocodecs.
It is operated from a web interface. It also has an API to be managed from the Phoenix Control application and third-party orchestrators.
It comes standard with OPUS, G711 (you and A law) and PCM coding algorithms. Optionally it can incorporate AAC and aPTX.
For easy management, it has presets in which to store the parameters of different connections that will be repeated in the future. It also has a contact list.
For connectivity, it supports serverless and serverless SIP (SIP proxy/direct SIP) in addition to RTP.
