Latin America. WorldCast Systems has released version 3.2.1 of its new generation of Ecreso FM AiO Series transmitters, which represents a significant and revolutionary advancement in FM broadcast technology.
This latest iteration reaffirms WorldCast's commitment to innovation and excellence in the industry. Available from 100W to 1kW, this new range of LPFM transmitters features advanced built-in software features, including the APT IP Decoder for audio/MPX over IP, an RDS encoder, sound processing, and IceCast and SHOUTCast streaming capabilities.
One of the most notable developments in version 3.2.1 is the complete refactoring of the integrated APT IP Decoder, which reflects the latest advancements in virtualized APT solutions. Thanks to this update, the Ecreso FM AiO Series is compatible with the AES67 standard, simplifying audio cabling on transmitters and interoperability with peripheral equipment.
Other enhancements include the management of automatic switching between an external exciter and the internal direct-to-channel digital modulator. This provides additional redundancy for the exciters and transforms the Ecreso FM AiO Series into an amplifier for future applications.
This 3.2.1 edition also allows static synchronization of audio between multiple transmitters, further optimizing its suitability for technically demanding applications, such as SFN networks. This ensures clear, interference-free audio transmission over the air. In addition, numerous optimizations have been introduced in various aspects of the transmitter, such as RDS encoding, SNMP, graphical 7-day history logs, cybersecurity, and a simpler initial setup of SmartFM.
David Houzé, Product Manager at WorldCast Systems, said: "With this new release, we continue to lay the foundation for making the transmitter ever simpler, more compact and more reliable. But this adventure is still ongoing, we are preparing many more software features to be presented in the coming months."
