MMT grows in broadcast with Blackmagic and other brands

Chile. After a little more than a year of representing Blackmagic Design as a wholesaler in the Chilean market, the MMT company presents a positive balance of how the broadcast industry is moving in its country.

Juan Pablo Jiménez, general manager of MMT, told TVyVideo+Radio that "Blackmagic is a very innovative brand, with a number of solutions and price-quality ratio, where no other brand enters. Today television goes through a crisis of lower income because the entire advertising grid has been divided, Blackmagic enters there perfect, with great quality, with technology, at very affordable prices. "

He added that, in the Chilean market, large television channels outsource their productions to small production companies and if these small producers are not efficient enough in cost, they fail to compete and leave the market.

"Today with Blackmagic we have very high standards that are set by Netflix, Paramount, Disney, with all the specifications for the quality of the product and the producers manage to have those equipment at a much lower value, which means that they can survive in the market. One of the advantages is that they have a complete flow, from the camera to the final software that gives the last makeup to the scene to go on the air, "he said.

MMT also offers other innovative brands for the broadcast segment. Juan Pablo Jiménez highlighted the lighting products for this sector of companies such as Claypaky, of Italian origin with excellent quality products for broadcast and Minuit One, a French brand that has a product called IVL Photon, a laser for television studios used in recognized programs such as La Voz España. In audio, they offer the entire broadcast line of Shure microphones and the portable line of Bose Professional.

Finally, on the shortage of equipment that the industry experienced in 2022, the manager of MMT said that "I think we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. All equipment has already been regularized in many lines. The truth is that brands had a very bad time. Not because of them, but because of a lack of components. Something never seen before in the industry. But there are brands, for example, Blackmagic, which never had supply problems. Several manufacturers have already told us that this year they consider the stock crisis over."
