Chile. On May 16 and 17, the second version of Tecomtel, the fair for the communications industry that this year presented a significant growth in both the number of visitors and attendees, was held in the Chilean capital.
Alejandro Wilson, director of Tecomtel, made TVyVideo+Radio a balance at the end of the fair: "We are very happy because the truth is that we exceeded expectations. Not only with the attendance, which has been very high, but also for the quality of the stands, for the quality of the technology shown by the suppliers. The truth is that the suppliers were up to the international fairs".
He stressed that the objective of this event is the integration of the ecosystem of all those who participate in the world of communications in the country, such as manufacturers, suppliers, integrators, associations, unions, the State, regulators, innovation leaders and the academic world.
"There is an effort from the fair because the entire ecosystem of the industry is linked. Community media, regions and everyone has a place, everyone has their leading part in the fair. It is really welcoming all the players in the industry, large, medium, small. And from the entire geographical part of the country," he added.
Finally, Alejandro Wilson concluded that "The industry in Chile is small, but it is demonstrating a very great strength as an industry and is being reflected in this fair. We confirm that in mid-May 2024 we will make the third version of Tecomtel."
