Latin America. Sony and MultiDyne Video and Fiber Optic Systems introduced Venice 4K Live, a new package created specifically for live film productions.
Since its introduction, the Venice has become the camera of choice for movies and television productions thanks to its dual-base ISO of 500/2500, integrated ND filters and more than 15 stops of dynamic range.
As the industry continues to embrace cinematic storytelling in live productions, Sony is committed to meeting the needs of production teams capturing live events. Joining the HDC-F5500 s35mm live camera system is the new Venice 4K Live.
The Venice 4K Live package was developed with MultiDyne based on feedback from the industry's top live event professionals. MultiDyne's Emmy Award-winning SilverBack fiber optic camera adapter transforms the VENICE from a movie camera to a live event camera, allowing teams to embrace cinematic storytelling in their live productions, whether using cine, shallow or shallow depths of field. -Light environments.
Funicular Goats founder and CTO James Coker has been an innovator in bringing the cinematic aspect to live production. Coker has worked on some of the most important events in television history, both in terms of audience and number of cameras used. Last year alone, Coker used Sony VENICE at more than 40 live events.
Coker explained, "The Sony Venice camera with a MultiDyne system makes difficult or cumbersome shots easier and more reliable: live and multi-camera events, such as comedy specials and musical performances, as well as live-style productions for tape."
He continues: "Fiber allows us to have full control of camera settings over IP, using Sony's graphical user interface. And since it's hardline, we can run timecode and audio, multiple video streams, tally and sound, not to mention a robust solution for iris control. In short, the system enables ease of use, reliability, quality control and a continuous workflow for the most challenging productions."
