Colombia. The TIC Ministry presented its 2023 call for the Abre Cámara contest, aimed at Colombian audiovisual producers. In total, six calls belonging to the project are opened for an amount of $ 25,600 million (about US $ 5.3 million), each designed to strengthen specific groups of the audiovisual sector in the country.
"This year these calls will be aimed at strengthening and positioning the sector to contribute to the construction of an economy for life. We want to make the regions visible through their stories, documenting the customs of areas that do not usually have much diffusion," said Sandra Milena Urrutia, ICT Minister.
Through Abre Cámara 2023, the Government of Change invites communities to submit proposals for projects that promote the development of audiovisual content of public and cultural interest, with a differential and diverse approach. Those selected will receive funding from the ICT Ministry for the various phases of the production process: script, pre-production, production and post-production; as well as training in copyright, working with minors and prevention of harassment on set.
These contents will increase the offer of public television and new digital formats as convergent multiplatform content will also be financed and strengthened.
The six calls of Abre Cámara 2023, which is open from today, will have as beneficiaries audiovisual producers (including MSMEs), regional audiovisual producers (only MSMEs), indigenous communities, NARP and Roma communities, non-profit operators and community operators (Peace Agreement).
The platform closes between March 21 and 23, depending on the category to which it is intended to submit.
