Peru. The Ministry of Transport and Communications, MTC, formed the committee in charge of preparing the bases and conducting the public tenders for the granting of authorizations for the broadcasting service for the year 2023.
The task of this team is to identify localities in the country, mainly those classified as rural areas, of preferential social or border interest, in order to be included in public tenders, which will allow the promotion of broadcasting in these areas.
The General Directorate of Telecommunications Authorizations (DGAT) will provide technical and administrative support throughout the process, while the preparation of the bases and the conduct of the public tender will be in charge of the committee of reception and evaluation of proposals, until the Good Pro is granted.
According to Vice-Ministerial Resolution No. 020-2023-MTC/03, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano, the committee will be made up of representatives of the General Directorate of Communications Policies and Regulation, the General Directorate of Communications Controls and Sanctions, the General Directorate of Communications Programs and Projects, as well as the General Directorate of Telecommunications Authorizations.
