Latin America. Imagen announced a partnership and integration with cloud-native video editing platform, Blackbird. The integration empowers organizations with a unified cloud workflow for file management, editing, and publishing content across social media, OTT, VOD, and other digital channels.
Production teams can instantly access content on the Image platform and then quickly edit from anywhere within Blackbird before publishing through the Image API and distribution workflows. The workflow eliminates the need to download and upload heavy files, reduces technical overhead and bandwidth costs, decreases carbon production, and eliminates the risks of storing assets on local machines.
With consumer demand exploding for near-live and archival sports content, the app will bring value to any club, league or federation that wants fast production cycles. The integrated workflow was launched with a major global sports federation in December 2021.
Blackbird plc CEO Ian McDonough said: "We have admired Imagen's work for several years. Enabling seamless integration with Blackbird brings tremendous customer benefits through ease, speed and efficiency across a wide range of workflows for image and Blackbird's present and future customer base."
Tom Blake, Commercial Director of Imagen added: "We are excited to work with Blackbird to strengthen our offering for content publishers. The combined offering will be a refreshing experience for production teams working on file and live convergence for fast-response VOD and social programming."
