Latin America. Seagate and EVS announced a new collaboration to provide massive capacity mobile storage and data transfer services for media and entertainment businesses.
This collaboration focuses on Seagate Lyve Mobile edge storage and data transfer service and EVS's premium live production and replay solution, LiveCeption Signature. Ideally, using the EVS solution supports live programs that address quick-response constraints while transporting content and metadata from multiple cameras through Lyve Mobile's offering to the intended destination, be it site, archive, or post-production.
Lyve Mobile solutions are specifically designed to securely meet industry-specific big data mobility challenges: from capturing, archiving, and copying data to access needs for remote production and post-production on-set or on-site, where data compliance and security requirements are the most important at all times.
"The total value of a digital workflow depends on technologies that can deliver the right content at the right time and to the right audience at any time, without compromising quality at any stage. Today's M&E companies need to implement new data management strategies that can handle larger volumes of data (UHD, multi-camera) while enabling frictionless movement of their workflow," said Melyssa Banda, Seagate vice president for Lyve Mobile Solutions. "Adding Lyve Mobile to EVS live production solutions addresses the changing needs of the industry and empowers businesses with the latest innovative storage technologies."
Laurent Petit, Senior Vice President of Products and Solutions at EVS, said: "With the significant number of multi-camera sources being recorded and the use of higher resolutions, customers are increasingly concerned about bandwidth limitations. Using Seagate's Lyve Mobile service with EVS's LiveCeption Signature solution enables our customers to move content safely and more efficiently. The feedback we've received from early adopters is very promising."
