Although businesses and projects were paralyzed at the beginning of 2020 by the pandemic, the broadcast industry was not completely stopped, thanks to being declared as an essential service that had to continue to be implemented to inform and entertain.
Audiences set record numbers on radio, television and different platforms, and continue to hold high. It was necessary to have new content aimed at different population groups, including educational to accompany children and adolescents in their virtual education processes, or programming to accompany older adults.
Several manufacturers and distributors in the industry, who spoke with TVyVideo+Radio, highlighted that after the impact at the beginning of the pandemic, the projects have been increasing, taking advantage of the production and transmission needs, to which they responded quickly with new developments and solutions.
To respond to all these challenges, workflows also had to adapt quickly, in order to support remote production for news and live programs with talents from their homes, as well as distribution to different platforms.
