Colombia. The General Manager of the Public Media System, RTVC, Álvaro García, affirmed that the educational grid organized during the covid-19 pandemic has had a 94% acceptance.
"A recent study by the National Consulting Center shows us that this radio, television and digital programming is reaching with great force, especially to the most remote regions of the country and to the most vulnerable sectors of our population," said the Manager of RTVC.
García made a list of the variety of educational programming organized to support the alternation model promoted by the Ministry of Education, in order to cover the pedagogical needs of students, from the earliest ages to adolescence.
Among the educational tools, the Manager of RTVC presented the deployment of 'Magical Territory' and 'Profe en tu Casa', which has already reached 180 broadcasts and receives more than 1,000 messages daily through all platforms, so that teachers throughout the country work with children in these pedagogical tasks.
He also referred to 'Training Together', "a very interesting project that we have developed with the Ministry of Sport and with Channel 13. It helps maintain the physical and mental abilities of all Colombians of all ages."
New educational channel
On the other hand, García announced that from the month of March Colombians will have a new educational channel, through the Digital Terrestrial Television System (DTT).
"RTVC, MinTIC and the Ministry of Education will air in March an educational channel through audio, through DTT, which will cover the entire country with an additional educational offer for the rural population of early childhood and high school," he said.
Finally, García explained that the Digital Terrestrial Television System can be easily tuned through televisions and "we have a coverage of almost 95% of the national population."
