Audiovisual production continues to grow

The technological development that the audiovisual industry has experienced in recent years, such as the massification of OTT and VoD platforms, has allowed more and more options to watch content and increase the offer.

This is how we have reached the figures of Youtube, a platform in which more than one billion hours of video are played daily and Netflix announced that at the end of 2018 it will reach the 1000 series and movies of original content available on its platform. In terms of investment, Netflix had $8 billion to produce content in 2018; Amazon nearly $5 billion and HBO about $2 billion.

These are just some cases of a long list of examples that could be made, with content production that stands out for its quality, innovative, making use of new platforms, with transmedia content and reaching a larger audience.

In this panorama, there is an element to highlight and that is that, according to the most recent report of the company Ooyala, today 60% of online video is consumed through mobile devices, with a trend that continues to grow every year.

No doubt this is a great time for video production, of which high quality and consumers stand out with a marathon appetite for content. In this scenario, Latin America is also being the protagonist, as more and more content with creativity, talent and local production is seen around the world.
