The seventh version of TecnoTelevisión, which will be held in 2014, will change its date and will now be on November six and seven in hall four of the Corferias convention center in Bogotá, Colombia.

TecnoTelevisión 2013, the most important meeting of the Colombian television industry, became the stage for foreign companies that are looking for new markets in the region or increase their participation, to make themselves known to the industry.
This is the case for companies like Aicox Digisat, Naska Digital, Broadcast Depot, Cricon and NTI, just to name a few. At the end of the fair they all shared the same opinion: the large attendance of specialized visitors allowed them to fulfill their purpose of generating new contacts.
In this sense, Yasmín Ardila, from Digisat Media, a company belonging to the Spanish group Aicox Soluciones, which for a year and a half has been saying to arrive in Latin America, concentrating its operations and expansion from an office in Colombia.
"We are bringing Spanish technology that brings to the market innovative aspects for the Latin industry. In the event we have been able to identify that there is an interesting market, the specialized public is looking for specific solutions and we have seen great interest in systems for streaming, "said Yasmín Ardila.
For his part, Leonardo Lamprea, from Naska Digital, a company that for the first time participated in TecnoTelevisión, stressed that its products to do color correction and animation, aimed at film and television production, were widely consulted and that participation in the fair allowed them to continue positioning themselves to lead projects.
"Colombia is a leader in the region in content promotion policy, specifically in the digital content sector and in visual effects. Both are growing and we are close to the levels of Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. In addition, the time has come for companies to rethink how they are investing in technology, so that they can make productions with better visual quality but with less cost and time invested," he added.
Technical and practical update
One of the novelties that the TecnoTelevisión conference program had this year was a second conference room dedicated to pay and community television, which complemented the traditional production and post-production room.
This new room became the opportunity to discuss the moment that community television is experiencing, the needs of technological updating and with the plans to reform it. Just this last point was the theme of the main Panel of the event, which had the participation of the National Television Authority, the academy and representatives of the sector, and in which the annoyance over the new regulation issued by the ANTV was evidenced.
On the other hand, the attendees of the conferences of the production and post-production hall, highlighted the quality of them, for having current issues and lectures that gave them in detail the new technologies from the technical part and from the experience.
One of the speakers who was able to share with the two rooms was Cayetano Grossi, director of Channel 7 in Argentina, and who stands out in his country for being one of the leaders of the digitization of the channel, providing support to regional channels and being a teacher on digital television issues and live broadcasts in HD in different universities. He was pleased by the size and quality of TecnoTelevisión, a fair he was visiting for the first time.
It will be in November
With the successful version of TecnoTelevisión 2013, which continued the growth of recent years in the number of qualified visitors, we are now concentrating all energies to consolidate the obligatory appointment of the Colombian television industry in terms of updating and training.
Therefore, one of the great novelties that the event will have in 2014, when it reaches its seventh version, will be the change of date. Traditionally, TecnoTelevisión was held at the end of July, but after analyzing the industry calendar and talking with the participating companies, it was defined that the best month to do it is November.
But this is not the only novelty that TecnoTelevisión will have. Next year will be held in parallel with the congress for the integration of audiovisual systems TecnoMultimedia InfoComm Colombia, which reaches its fifth version and is also carried out by the Latin Press publishing house in partnership with InfoComm International.
