Chile. Without a doubt, the most important music festival held in Latin America is viña del Mar, and for its 2013 version, which takes place between February 24 and the first of March, they decided to innovate with the latest technology for its transmission over the Internet.
Therefore, GrupoZ, in charge of the transmission, decided to use the Tricaster system, from the Newtek company, and so those who cannot be in Viña del Mar will not miss the presentations of artists such as Elton John, The Jonas Brothers, Maná and Romeo, among others.
Christian Avalos, representative of GrupoZ, said that "We have been working with the Tricaster multi-camera video production system for quite some time. We are even more excited to expand coverage of our event at the festival this year with a Tricaster 8000 and a 3Play 425 to stream live on the network."
The team for the music festival broadcast is complemented by Ciro Hinojosa, a well-known 3D artist from Monterey, Mexico, who is using NewTek Virtual Set Editor (VSE) software to build and design the festival's virtual sets and double box effects.
Ralph Messana, sales director of NewTek Latin America, said: "Ciro has already designed a large number of virtual sets in Tricaster for several television stations throughout Latin America, including a stage for a Venezuelan television channel to cover the London Olympics. These custom sets, combined with TriCaster's easy streaming, will make for an incredible show."
