The success achieved in the 2012 version of the event, both in the academic component and in the Commercial Exhibition, has led the organizers of TecnoTelevisión to propose an expansion of the event in its exhibition area.
For 2013 TecnoTelevisión will be held again at the Corferias convention center, in Bogotá, Colombia, between July 31 and the first of August, but this time it will occupy Hall 1 with a space of 2,512 square meters, for an increase of 110%.
This is a reaction to the interest shown by visitors in knowing the new equipment and technology available in the market, which was reflected in the 1,219 people who toured the stands of the 26 companies that exhibited in 2012.
Sebastián Fernández, vice president of sales and operations of Latin Press Inc, the publishing house organizing the Congress, assures that this growth is due to the importance of the television industry and the recognition achieved by TecnoTelevisión as the most important event of its kind for the Andean Region.
"As organizers we respond to market demand. Latin America has shown its strength in the field of broadcast and has shown the need to have an even greater space for the exhibition of new technologies aimed at the creation and transmission of content, as well as for the strengthening of relationships with other professionals in the industry, "said Fernández.
For his part, Richard Santa, academic coordinator of the event, stressed that "offering access to training days that reflect the evolution that the industry is currently experiencing, is the main responsibility of TecnoTelevisión; in that sense, having direct access to the equipment exhibited in the Commercial Exhibition is another added value for the attendees".
