Colombia. With a positive balance and a growth of 20% in the Commercial Exhibition, TecnoTelevisión 2012 successfully closed its doors. Participants expressed their admiration for the organization, their satisfaction with the quality of the contents, the level of the speakers and the quality of the visiting public.
As a novelty for this year, the event had the participation of a Brazilian pavilion among the exhibitors, the support of important media in the region, the academic endorsement of the Pontifical Bolivarian University (UPB), and the linking of several companies that for the first time made their participation in the fair; ratifying the importance it has for the strengthening and maturity of the television production and transmission industry in Latin America.
For Richard Santa, Academic Coordinator of the event, having the support of the academy and the regulatory authorities of television in Colombia, is a guarantee for attendees to know in depth such important issues for the country as the future of the third channel and the plans for regional channels. "The support and presence of the official establishments are vital for Congress because it is a way to endorse our work, which is to train professionals and actors in the sector."
But in addition to the good atmosphere left by the Academic Program of TecnoTelevisión, the exhibiting companies agreed that the exhibition remains a reference for Colombia and the region in general. For Mauricio Escobar, commercial manager of Arrow Media Tech, "TecnoTelevisión, in its genre, is a reference for the Latin American market. For us it has been really interesting because it allows us to cover the entire market niche and offer our systems to both small and large producers."
Position shared by Jorge Dighero, sales manager for Latin America of Newtek, stating that "TecnoTelevisión is the most important show in the Andean Region in this area. As manufacturers, it is a very important space because we have found great quality in the public that visits it and it has become a very good commercial platform for the company."
Consequently, this fifth edition served as a stage for many of the exhibiting companies to present for the first time, for Latin America, the equipment and software they launched on the market in the last version of NAB, a fair organized by The National Association of Broadcasters of the United States, and one of the most important in the world.
The organizing committee of TecnoTelevisión expresses its gratitude to the participants, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, media and sponsors who supported this edition, and invites them to continue working together for the development of the industry.
