Colombia. After successfully completing the first day of TecnoTelevisión 2012, attendees are preparing to start the second day of the fair. Conferences, commercial exhibition and a large live broadcast, are part of the schedule of activities this Thursday.
The first day of Academic Programming began with the Inaugural Panel that had as guests the commissioner of the National Television Authority of Colombia, Alfredo Sabbagh, and the academic and critic of Television Omar Rincón, in an interesting debate on the present and future of television regulation in the country.
The two panelists agreed that the new financing model for regional television channels and public television will benefit them, since the resources allocated for them last year were $ 30,000 million, while at the end of 2012 the National Television Authority expects to reach $ 100,000 million.
The day advanced with the conference Sound for DVB T2, by Carlos Watanabe, director of Dolby for Latin America, and who highlighted the trends in sound that will be seen in the coming years. In addition, he pointed out that only last February in Colombia the rules were regulated so that the deaf can enjoy television with the close caption system, but stressed that for the blind community solutions have not yet been implemented, which are being done in other countries.
In parallel, the Commercial Exhibition allowed the exhibition of new technologies for the production, transmission and creation of content for TV. Technologies for production such as cameras, lighting and virtual sets; for post-production such as editing software, color control and oled monitors; and transmitters and signal monitoring systems, stole the attention of visitors.
The live broadcast from the Congress was another of the great attractions of this first day. News, tours of the fair and interviews with exhibitors, speakers and industry specialists were broadcast from the virtual set of TecnoTelevisión 2012.
The Academic Program will continue this Thursday from 8:00 a.m and the Commercial Exhibition will open again to the public from 10:00 a.m, in Hall 9 of Corferias in Bogotá, Colombia.
