The software allows users to adjust the color temperature, gamma curves and luminance levels and is free to use for owners of DT-V monitors of JVC of 17, 20 and 24 inches.
All monitors shipped from the factory JVC in Japan are calibrated to 6500K and gamma correction of 2.2. Manual arrangements include a single adjustment light background that, when combined with a high native contrast, allows a precise approach to the black levels of CRT monitor reference for critical visualizations and color conjugation applications.
The software is compatible with X-Rite and Minolta color probes (purchased separately) and allows the user to recalibrate DT-V monitors, save and reapply changes to a group of monitors for color reproduction uniform throughout the studio.
The application is available to registered users of DT-V17L2, DT-V20L or DT-V24L monitors on the website pro.jvc.com/calibrate.
